Significant shadow interaction

Rochelle Hodge told me once that when your shadow becomes your neighbor, swinging them feels forbidden. This inspired the choreography in the B.

Notes

Robins lead a dolphin hey.

I want more dolphin hey dances in my life.

I wanted to avoid assymetry in the 1s and 2s which isn't as common as it onces was and is challenging in long halls when less dancers get to do both.

I'm still working on how to teach the end of the dolphin hey though, what feels best for the robin 2, let me know if you call it or have ideas.

Partner Balance and Swing

Notes

Inspired by 'Zag it Back' by Jacqui Grennan.

I love the combinations of circling right after curtesy turns.

Full disclosure - haven't had a chance to call this to music yet, I think the B1 will be quite quick.

leaving off the balance before the partner swing to give folks time to come out of the allemande could be a good alternative.
